The Crew Behind Every Renewal
We started lean — a truck, a few tools and a stubborn belief: renovations should feel as good as they look. Today, that belief is a full local company — still Syracuse-born, still answerable to you by name.
Built in Syracuse, For Syracuse
Home Renew Build began when carpenter Mike Harrington kept losing good clients to a patchwork of subcontractors — each with their own schedule, their own excuses. He asked a simple question: why not build one company where the roofers, electricians, plumbers and designers actually work as one team?
Today we're a team of craftsmen, project managers and designers out of our base at 204 Lakeland Ave. We've delivered numerous projects across Onondaga County and beyond — from a small kitchen refresh in Salina to a full roof, solar and exterior renewal in Fairmount.
What hasn't changed: every project still gets a named lead, a written fixed quote, and a workmanship warranty signed by someone who'll answer the phone.
Our Mission
To make home improvement in Central New York honest, efficient and beautiful — by bringing every trade under one roof (literally) and holding ourselves to a written promise on every job we touch.
Our Vision
A Central New York where no homeowner chooses between quality and transparency — where “renovator” means a local team you can call by name, year after year, long after the paint is dry.
Our Values, Hammered In
Craft First
Levels are checked. Cuts are square. If a detail isn't right, it doesn't stay. We'd rather spend an extra hour than an extra year.
Radical Honesty
You'll hear bad news early, good news honestly, and pricing that matches the paper. No surprise line items — ever.
Built to Last
Durable, efficient, low-VOC and repair-friendly materials. We build for the winters to come, not the next listing photo.
Neighborly
We live where we work. Our kids go to school down the road — and we show up with that in mind: on time, tidy, and kind.
Our Journey, Milestone by Milestone
Mike Harrington founds Home Renew Build with one crew and a single promise: fixed quotes, clean sites.
Solar & energy division launches after our first net-metering project in Onondaga County.
Security & fire-safety teams join — bringing full protection under the same roof as our renovation services.
In-house lending & warranty desk opens, pairing every project with financing and a written warranty.
Numerous projects completed and counting. Still one team, still one phone number: +1 315-487-1783.
Proud of the Proof
Licensed and insured across every trade we run · a written workmanship warranty · A+ local reputation built neighbor by neighbor. We'd rather you verify our past clients than trust our adjectives — ask for references on any project, and we'll happily connect you with three.
How We Run Every Project
A named lead from day one, a written fixed quote before tools come out, weekly progress updates, a spotless site every evening — and a final walkthrough together before we consider the job done. Same playbook on every project, big or small.
